BEERG TRAINING EVENTS

Within our area of expertise, BEERG provides a range of open and “in-house” training programmes, briefings and workshops.  Our events are always “content rich” and intensely practically.  We prefer to work with smaller groups so that individuals can benefit from personal attention and discuss the specific issues that matter to them.

Specific events

BEERG also run periodic seminars, workshops and briefings on specific employee relations issues as they arise throughout Europe and the United States.  Our most regular events focus on European Works Council issues, including dealing with the new “recast” Directive and updates on collective bargaining development in the world.  Take a look at our calendar to see what is on the agenda.

To keep costs down, and where it is practical, we also run quarterly telephone based mini-briefings on issues of global interest.  Recent call-ins have covered the Chinese Employment Contract Law implemented in 2008; Dealing with trade union recognition issues in China; Global trade union developments; labor related corporate social responsibility; and handling the employee relations aspects of international mergers and acquisitions.

In-house events

Our work with individual companies ranges from bespoke briefings to presentations at major conferences.  Our executive briefings are designed for individual executives or a small group of senior executives and deal with global employee relations issues in the specific countries and sectors in which they work.  These are especially valuable for new senior appointees taking on international responsibilities.  We work with small groups of HR and line management teams to help them explore specific company related issues – like setting up a European Works Council, revising an EWC agreement, making an existing EWC more effective, negotiating techniques aimed at a specific event or dealing with the employee relations aspect of an acquisition.  We also reproduce our open events for large companies – either as set piece programmes or as a shorter contribution to an existing HR conference.
