HR POLICY ASSOCIATION
BEERG is the Global partner of the HR Policy Association, based in Washington DC. The HR Policy Association brings together more than 250 of the biggest corporations in the US. Tom Hayes and Alan Wild serve as HR Policy’s Director of European Affairs and Director of Global Affairs respectively, while HR Policy President, Jeffrey C. McGuiness and HR Policy Senior Vice President and General Counsel Daniel V. Yager serve as members of BEERG’s Policy Advisory Board.

Through our partnership with HR Policy Association we provide our members with:

•    An annual report on global collective bargaining trends. The report is free to members of both organisations and published each year in January;
•    Quarterly “webinars” on key international issues – our briefings regaularly attract around 100 participants from Seattle to Shanghai;
•    Information and advice on what is happening in the global union movement and how companies can be prepared for new forms of global union pressure.
•    Weekly updates on key US labor relations issues including the Obama labor agenda and the related prospects for the passage of the Employee Free Choice Act.
•    Regular US-based international employee relations seminars and events.

We also offer in-house briefings on global labor relations trends (or developments in specific countries) which can either run from 2 hours to a full day.

BEERG and HR Policy have begun to  launch a network of member-run discussion groups which will have either a national or regional focus, as appropriate. Our UK and Ireland group was launched in February 2009 and the Paris-based French group followed in April 2009. We will be launching groups in locations in Asia, starting in Sydney in March 2010 and moving on to East Asia later in the year.
